The Progressive Jewish Alliance (PJA) was founded in 1999 by Jewish Angelenos seeking to assert an authentic progressive Jewish presence in the campaigns for social justice in Southern California, home to the nation’s second largest city and second largest Jewish community.  API Equality-L.A., a coalition of organizations and individuals working to build support for equal marriage rights and fair treatment of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in the greater Los Angeles Asian and Pacific Islander community. Founded during the summer of 2005, API Equality-LA is part of a state-wide campaign, "Let California Ring," that seeks to open hearts and minds about the freedom to marry and the respect, support, protections, and responsibilities that come with marriage. API Equality-LA is also part of the Equality for All campaign, which was also formed in 2005 to respond to the attempt to place measures on the California ballot that would deny marriage equality. HONOR PAC is a voluntary non-partisan committee that supports candidates and ballot propositions that advance progressive policies that directly address the unique needs and interests of Latina/o LGBT communities. Through groundbreaking television, print and radio ads, as well as videos, an interactive website, a statewide network of volunteers and community leaders, and the contributions and leadership of people like you, the campaign addresses the public's concerns and encourages thoughtful dialogue about marriage and same-sex couples. VISIT LET CALIFORNIA RING  Love Honor Cherish is a grassroots organization dedicated to securing equal marriage rights in California and nurturing a new generation of leaders. Love Honor Cherish has a strong focus on speaking the truth about marriage and presenting diverse images of LGBT people and families. Formed in May 2008 to fight Prop 8, Love Honor Cherish raised over half a million dollars for the No on 8 campaign and mounted an extensive outreach and media campaign.
